Not exactly a breaking news but here it is, Globe’s official announcement. Should’ve posted this yesterday but I didn’t have access to a computer at the time.
I was sent to cover a Globe press briefing over at the Renaissance Hotel. Unfortunately the venue was already full when I got there, getting inside the ballroom was impossible, unless of course I squeeze in, which is something I’m totally not up to. Anyway, a majority of the event was devoted to providing the press with the company’s financial particulars for the first two quarters of the year. And then, they just announced the release of the Apple iPhone 3G. Just like that.
So here’s the official press release which I found in the PC World Philippines Web site.
